? Fringe Review Edinburgh Fringe 2010 The Last Five Years Genre: Musical Theatre Venue: Spaces on the Mile Low Down Cathy is struggling to kick-start her career. Jamie is fending off work. Opposites attract. Review This one-act musical explores the emotional turmoil of a relationship between a young writer whose star is in the ascendant and a young actress whose career is struggling to even get off the ground. And, in an unusual twist, the couple tell their tale from opposite ends of their relationship with Cathy working back through their five years together and Jamie working forward. Written and composed by Jason Robert Brown, the plot is simple enough : boy meets girl, falls in love, they get married but drift apart quickly as girl’s career stalls, boy’s gallops ahead, leading him into the land of temptation to which he inevitably succumbs. And the piece has almost a Lloyd-Webber feel to it as the two actors relay their experiences through a series of solo pieces, only actually coming together at the moment of their wedding. ?http://www.hertsandessexobserver.co.uk/Leisure-Lifestyle/Observer-Sessions/VIDEO-Stortford-teens-Pandoras-Box-are-YouTube-sensation.htm ? 'TALENTED teen musicians Pandora’s Box are on their way to becoming an internet sensation after launching an ambitious new video project on YouTube. For the past four months, the prodigious Stortford foursome have been recording their own rearrangements of every new UK Number 1 single – and so far, their efforts have been watched more than 30,000 times on the internationally-popular website. From humble beginnings, when their take on Rihanna’s Only Girl (In The World) drew just shy of 1,500 views, the number of people logging on to see them has skyrocketed. The project got a major boost when their cover of Jessie J’s Price Tag – featuring Ben’s sister Susanna on vocals – was picked up by YouTube as one of its featured videos. The resulting exposure pushed the number of viewers for that entry alone past the 11,000 mark. If that wasn’t impressive enough, their follow-up Someone Like You by Adele won a YouTube award for being the 65th most viewed music video on the whole site the day it launched. In just over a week, more than 5,000 fans have watched it.'
New Beats Media have been reviewing every Number 1 in our Project. ? http://newbeatsmedia.com/2011/02/28/number1-covers/ http://newbeatsmedia.com/2011/02/26/uknumber1-project/ http://newbeatsmedia.com/2011/02/26/pandorasbox-ewearewhoweare/ http://newbeatsmedia.com/2011/02/26/pandoras-box-grenade ?http://newbeatsmedia.com/2011/03/03/pandoras-box-adele/ Also they conducted an interview: ?http://newbeatsmedia.com/2011/02/26/pandorasbox-interview/ Many thanks to Chris at New Beats Media for his time and interest.
